Situated amidst picturesque ambience inside the North Eastern Police Academy campus, Kendriya Vidyalaya stands almost on the Guwahati -Shillong Road, it is a few minutes’ walk from Umiam Lake (Barapani) Meghalaya. The School has been shifted to a new permanent building constructed by KVS. It is a one section school (Science & Arts stream at plus two level) complete with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, computer science, Mathematics and a well-equipped library. The school has a well-equipped computer lab for providing basic skills and knowledge of computer science & technology. For providing internet access to students the Vidyalaya has a 200 mbps BSNL FTTH internet connection.
